As part of the annual Suning shareholders meeting, Suning owner Jindong Zhang shared his aspirations for the year.

“I have high hopes for this year. Our rapid development has also benefited from the decisions of the Chinese government thanks to the reform and open policy adopted, which is why we thank the factors that determine the rise and fall of a company: capital, technology, business strategy, etc but the most important factor in a company is the human factor,” he told shareholders.

Zhang also revealed his dream to have a young management team.

“I want a president born in the 1980s, a general manager born after 1985, and a director who was born in the 1990s.”

Zhang’s Suning Group bought a controlling stake from Inter back in 2016 from Indonesian tycoon Erick Thohir and have worked wonders in the time since for Inter’s finances. In addition to sorting finances out, the Chinese group also helped Inter return to the Champions League after a few years away from the competition.
