Another arrest has been made in connection with the recent violence prior to Inter versus Napoli, a report from La Repubblica states.
Before Inter took on Napoli on boxing day, guerrilla-style warfare took place not far from the ground resulting in some Napoli fans being stabbed and Inter ultra Daniele Belardinelli being run over and killed by at least one vehicle belonging to Napoli fans.
The investigating judge Guido Salvini put out an arrest warrant for one of the leaders of Inter’s Curva Nord in Nino Ciccarelli and Ciccarelli has now been arrested.
Ciccarelli’s name was given to investigators by Luca Da Ros, a 21-year-old Inter ultra who has also been held in connection with the violence and it is believed that he was one of the main instigators.
Ciccarelli is already facing 12 years behind bars for other crimes and has a five year banning order from attending football matches but could be set for further punishment.
