Genoa sporting director Giorgio Perinetti has revealed that the Rossoblu have no intention of allowing their star players to leave during this window.

“In Serie A it is difficult to see big changes happening and certain players move,” he told Radio CRC.

“Now we are experiencing the Gonzalo Higuain saga, which maybe will involve us too. We have said we are not going to offer Krzysztof Piatek, Cristian Romero and Christian Kouame around and it is not our intention to sell them, but they are players who attract interest.”

Perinetti continued by discussing Piatek in Particular: “What is the likelihood of Piatek leaving? I do not know. We do not want to sell him, but we have to listen to the offers that come in.

“Nothing has been done as of yet and there has only been contact with Milan, who told us that they wanted to talk about him after the Supercoppa.”
