Flamengo are still looking to upgrade their defense in this January transfer market even after signing Rodrigo Caio, they are still looking to add players.
Things seem to be getting complicated for the Brazilian side, since after a no from Dede, Flamengo continue their search for a center back. Inter’s Joao Miranda has been an option, but the player prefers to stay one more season in Europe, even if not at Inter.
This theory has been confirmed by Fox Sports’ Thierry Omairi, a member of the Brazilian defender’s entourage: “I think he will stay in Europe for another season, he could return to Brazil when he is 36-37 years old to end his career.”
Joao Miranda has not been content with his playing time so far this season under manager, Luciano Spalletti as he has other options in Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij.
Miranda has only featured in 7 matches for the Nerazzurri this season.
