Inter’s Dutch international central defender Stefan de Vrj stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts on the goalless draw in the Serie A against Sassuolo at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

“We were lacking a goal, we looked for it but we were unable to score. Sassuolo are a good team and so we conceded a few chances as well but compliments to Handanovic who saved us a few times.”

“We gave a good performance but we were lacking something, maybe a bit of meanness in front of goal, we could have scored but were unable to. At times we lost the ball too easily and they are strong on the counter attack. We could have done better.”

“It was nice to play in front of children, although it must be said the atmosphere was certainly different but they sure made themselves heard.”

In conclusion the former Lazio man was asked about the upcoming match next weekend away against Torino: “It is an important match where we want to return to winning. They are also a good team so we need to prepare well for it.”
