Serie A is back this weekend after the winter break and it is a difficult test for Inter as they welcome Sassuolo to San Siro, the side with a curious history against the Nerazzurri; just see the previous matches to understand the strange alchemy that appears when the Nerazzurri take on the Neroverdi.

The Giuseppe Meazza stadium will be filled with only about 11 thousand children after it was closed as punishment for the racist chants heard in the match against Napoli.

The club wanted to comply with the campaign to raise awareness of any kind of discrimination without hiding behind anything, therfore Icardi and his teammates intend to continue on the same path they started before the new year.

Luciano Spalletti has the whole squad available with the exception of Keita Baldé. The only unknown question remains Nainggolan and whether he will he start or come on as a substitute.

The Belgian is in better shape, he is now missing only the match pace to get back to 100% and it is likely he will start from the 1st minute. It is therefore possible to see the 4-2-3-1 with Vecino-Brozovic in the middle and the Ninja behind Icardi.

Compared to the Coppa Italia match against Benevento that opened 2019, the Tuscan coach will once again start with Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, De Vrij, Asamoah and Politano.

The tactical alternative remains 4-3-3, with Joao Mario in midfield if Nainggolan is left on the bench, although the option of Borja Valero is also a strong possibility.

There are a few more problems for Roberto De Zerbi, who will not have Marlon and Di Francesco.

He has recovered Ferrari, Adjapong, Bourabia, Boga and Boateng, but all of them have been absent for some time and – as confirmed by the Neroverdi technician at his press conference – they must use caution and therefore they are hardly likely to start from the beginning.

In defence, it is likely Peluso will return in the central role alongside Magnani, while in the midfield Magnanelli will start.

In attack, it should be one between Babacar and Matri, with Berardi and Djuricic, favorite over Brignola, to support. Sernicola and Odgaard are also unavailable.
