The meeting for the renewal of Mauro Icardi’s contract has been postponed until next week.

There have been no direct calls to Wanda Nara from Corso Vittorio Emanuele because, after the posts on social media from the wife-agent of the striker, the Inter management have decided to turn off the media attention on the affair and to postpone the face-to-face meeting that will mark the redefining of negotiations.

The previous meeting between Wanda and Ausilio in September broke down because of the lack of understanding between the two.

Yesterday, when interviewed by Striscia la Notizia who awarded her the Tapiro d’Oro, Wanda was very positive: “The contract will be renewed. Marotta wants Icardi and there are no problems, everything is fine.

“The €100,000 fine? There is no fine.”

This is what the Corriere dello Sport reports today on the far-fetched negotiation for the extension of the Nerazzurri captain’s contract.

We will soon see if this is just a tactic or a sign of genuine peace between the parties. Wanda will sit at the table for the first time with the new CEO Marotta, who will try to understand if there are margins to compromise on the huge differences between the offer of €6 million and the demand of €9-10 million.

Of course, Inter wants to avoid fuelling new tensions and propose a constructive dialogue.
