Jacob Andersen, the father and agent of Inter linked Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, has revealed that the Danish defender is loving life in Genoa and that there are a few clubs in for him.

“He has told me that he would like to have another season in Genoa. Samp is a good team and he loves the city. He strongly believes he can have the career he has imagined. He is already at a high level right now and he faces important strikers every weekend,” he is quoted as saying by Sampnews24.com.

He progressed to talk about how he thinks his son would handle a step up to a big club.

“There are big clubs that would like him to be with them right now and I do not see why he should not be able to handle any change.”

He concluded by giving an anecdote about the 22-year-old’s time in Italy so far.

“Italy was the best choice for him, especially to grow on a tactical level. I remember after four months in Italy he called me to say the coach had spoken to him for the first time and praised him by giving him a pat on the back and a ‘bravo’.”
