Duvan Zapata’s agent Fernando Villarreal has discussed the recent media speculation surrounding his client’s future with Atalanta but first spoke on his client’s form this season.
“Duvan has always known how to score. He is showing everyone that he is a certain breed of striker. The goal for him is to continue to score goals for Atalanta without setting any limits,” he said in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.
“I am not surprised [about his form]. At Atalanta he has simply been able to express himself to the best of his ability. Thanks to Gasperini he found his place on the field, he feels appreciated and is showing it.”
“Are we thinking about the transfer market? No. At Atalanta he has found his place but the national team is clearly still a goal for him. After his excellent performances he has not yet been given the opportunity he deserves so we hope that a call from Colombia will come soon.”
