Pea: “Inter Must Keep Icardi As There’s Not Another Player Like Him”

Former Inter Primavera manager Fulvio Pea has shared his thoughts and feelings on how Inter have performed so far this campaign.

“Luciano Spalletti is doing a great job. The team is playing well and is always balanced and is sitting in third place in the league table so find themselves in an advantageous position. It is a pity about their elimination from the Champions League, a competition which will mean a lot for them on an economic level in the future,” Pea, who spent two years in charge of the Primavera, told RMC Sport.

Pea went on to discuss Mauro Icardi and stressed his importance to the Nerazzurri cause.

“He is an excellent player, he knows how to score goals with continuity. It is hard to replace a player like him. There is not another player out there like him and that is why he is wanted by all the best clubs in Europe. Should Inter do everything to keep him at the club? Yes.”
