Former Inter goalkeeper Francesco Toldo has praised the Nerazzurri’s Brothers Universally United (BUU) imitative that they launched in wake of a recent racist incident at San Siro.
During Inter’s 1-0 win over Napoli at the end of last year a portion of Inter fans subjected Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly to racist chants and Inter were hit with a stadium ban as a punishment.
Inter welcomed over 10,000 school children and children from their academy in to the ground for yesterday’s game against Sassuolo and had gigantic banners with ‘BUU’ all over them in different styles.
“We managed to turn San Siro into a party yesterday. This campaign was wanted by the company to change course and show that Inter think differently. It is exceptional and the whole world is talking about it. The club has shown character. We no longer want to see and hear racist chants,” he told Radio 24 show ‘Tutto Convocati’.
