Stefano Castelnovo has confirmed that his client Gianluca Mancini will not be leaving Atalanta during this transfer window despite reported interest from a host of clubs.
“I can exclude that he will leave Atalanta in January. Gianluca will remain in Bergamo as it does not make sense for him to leave Atalanta now during the current season,” he said in an interview with Tele Radio Stereo.
He then went on to address the recent interest from Roma.
“He has no intention of leaving either. The contacts with the Giallorossi have been going on for a while, but all kind of talks will be take place in June.”
The 22-year-old centre back has also reportedly drawn interest from Inter in recent months as well as the likes of Everton and Arsenal to name but a few.
This season Mancini has made 18 appearances across all competitions for La Dea, scoring five goals and tallying one assist in just under 1500 minutes.
