Porto’s Mexican international central midfielder Hector Herrera has been approached by La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid to join them in Spain once his contract expires, Italian broadcaster SportItalia reports.
According to the report, the Porto midfielder prefers to try his luck in the Serie A and would like to do so in an Inter shirt. Therefore, he is waiting for Inter to make their offer before making a final decision with regards to his future.
The Nerazzurri on their part are yet to make a final decision whether or not to make an offer of a contract to the Mexican international, who if accepted would join Inter on a free transfer at the end of this coming June.
Hector Herrera joined Porto in the summer of 2013 and has since joining the club featured 223 times across all competitions scoring 30 goals in the process. Herrera was an integral part of the Porto side that became Portuguese champions last season.
