Juventus are currently ahead in the negotiations to bring Matteo Darmian back to Italy, but Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting on the possibility of him joining the Nerazzurri.

“Everything between Juventus and the player looks to be done as he will earn around €3 million per season, but the problem still lies with Manchester United. Juventus has proposed a paid loan of €4 million with an option to make the move permanent €8 million, but United would like to turn that into an obligation instead.”

“Darmian, who will soon become a father, is keen to return to Italy. Ausilio and Marotta are aware of this and have already spoken to United and offered a loan worth €3 million with an obligation to redeem him set at €8 million. Inter are also offering more money to the player, around €3.5 million net per season. The negotiations are expected to be complicated as Darmian has been on Inter’s mind for a long time, and they are still undecided about Vrsaljko.”
