Gazzetta dello Sport have urged Inter manager Luciano Spalletti to find a way to incorporate Lautaro Martinez in to the Inter starting eleven due to the Argentine player being simply too good to sit on the bench.

Initially arriving as the back-up to Icardi, Lautaro has proved himself and has averaged a goal every 118 minutes played since his arrival, an average that can only be beaten by Krzysztof PiÄ…tek and Arkadiusz Milik.

The 21-year-old has scored five goals in 593 minutes spread across 17 appearances for the club, just five of which have been as a starter.

In the most recent matches Inter have brought Lautaro on from the bench and played him next to Icardi with a view to scoring more goals and Lautaro has made a difference on several occasions. Spalletti has recently went with a 4-3-3 system which may allow him to get the best out of Radja Nainggolan but does not allow for Lautaro and Icardi to play up top together.

Gazzetta suggest that Spalletti could instead use a 4-3-1-2 formation with Nainggolan as the attacking midfielder which would allow Icardi and Lautaro to play alongside one another. They are however aware that the 4-3-1-2 is not a system Spalletti uses.
