Genoa’s Ivorian striker Christian Kouamé attended a charity event in central Milano last night to raise funds for children in need.

The former Nerazzurri Primavera player was asked what happened when he left Inter and why the club let him leave despite scoring 5 times in 10 matches for them to which he replied: “It happened that way, it does not mean that if I had stayed I would have gone down the same path.”

Kouame was asked if he would want to return one day ti which he replied: “No-one knows what happens tomorrow or the day after, we will have to wait and see.”

In conclusion he was asked about the recent racist abuse that has been a hot topic in Italian football to which he replied: “Ignorance exists everywhere, I have an Italian family so I have no problems.”

Kouame joined Genoa in July 2018 and has since joining the Rossoblu featured 15 times across all competitions and getting on the score sheet three times in the process.
