Former Inter owner and president Erick Thohir has spoken on the possible investment from China’s richest man in the club.

Firstly he spoke on the situation with regards to selling up his remaining 31.05% shares in the club.

“In 2016, during the transaction with the Suning Group, an agreement was signed that would allow the new owner to ask me to acquire the remaining minority shares,” the Indonesian tycoon said in an interview with Bisnis.com.

He concluded the interview by speaking on who could takeover his shares at the club.

“Suning could give them to Jack Ma or anyone else that they see fit.”

Thohir bought a majority stake in the Nerazzurri back in 2013 from long serving and popular president Massimo Moratti and would sell just about 70% of his then majority stake in the club to Suning. Since Suning’s takeover, Thohir has grown increasingly distant from the club and was recently replaced as club president by Steven Zhang.
