Vrsaljko With Another Potential Injury, His Permanent Move To Inter Is In Doubt

Sime Vrsaljko’s name has been popping up more and more these days as Inter continue to be linked to other fullbacks, which brings question as to whether or not Inter intend to sign the Croatian from Atletico Madrid on a permanent basis at the end of the season.

In the meantime, it appears that the player is still suffering from his many injuries, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Vrsaljko spent part of yesterday’s training session working away from his teammates. It looks like the cause is the usual knee problems that have been haunting him for months. It is a worrying situation, but it is one that needs to be monitored ahead of Sunday’s match against Torino.”

“If Inter wish to redeem the player, they will be required to pay another 17.5 million euros to Atletico Madrid by June, but this operation seems to be in doubt as the player has been plagued with injuries.”

“Vrsaljko has only started 8 out of 20 league games this season, which is too few to justify such a costly investment. It is very unfortunate considering Inter thought they had solved their ongoing fullback problem last Summer.”
