Inter are getting closer and closer to securing Cedric Soares from Southampton, who has ended up as a prime transfer target for the Nerazzurri.

According to FCInterNews.it, tomorrow there should be an important meeting between the management of the Nerazzurri and Southampton to discuss the transfer of the Portuguese right back to Luciano Spalletti’s team.

Furthermore the British-based newspaper, The Sun, reveals that the Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl, has already given his approval for the transfer to be closed on a permanent basis, in order to be able to work with an even smaller squad after the departure’s of Manolo Gabbiadini and Wesley Hoedt.

Cedric Soares was a member of the Portugal side that lifted the European Championships in 2016 and has gone on to make 33 appearances for his national team. He has also made 18 appearances for Southampton in the Premier League and 22 overall in the current season scoring one goal and providing two assists in the process.
