Portuguese international full-back Cedric Soares is very close to a transfer to the Serie A and Inter leaving the Premier League and Southampton according to several reports.

Yesterday, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia revealed the news that a transfer could be wrapped up as soon as over the next 48 hours. Now Portuguese newspaper O Jogo confirms that report, stating that the player, born in 1991, already has a deal in place with the Nerazzurri and that the deal could be made official over the next few days.

Soares, who has made 18 performances in the Premier League so far this season, scoring once and making two assists, was part of the 2016 European Championship winning Portuguese national team, and has so far won 33 caps for his country scoring the solitary goal.

Soares joined Southampton in the summer of 2015 in a deal worth reportedly €6,5 million and has since making the move featured 112 times scoring twice in the process.
