Talks between Inter and Arsenal over Inter winger Ivan Perisic are set to continue today according to British newspaper the Evening Standard.
The Gunners have already had an offer for the Croatian rejected but all parties have a shared desire to strike a deal and Arsenal are hopeful that they can sign the 29-year-old before Thursday night’s transfer deadline.
Arsenal originally made a loan offer with a redemption option but Inter are insistent that it is an obligation to sign once he plays a set amount of games for the north London club.
Perisic recently submitted a transfer request and has made no secret of his desire to play in the Premier League – where he has also drawn interest from Manchester United in the past – in recent months.
This season he has made 25 appearances across all competitions but has netted just three goals and tallied five assists and his performances have been some way off the performances he has put in for the Nerazzurri in recent years.
