Lautaro Martinez has spoken on how he felt playing alongside Mauro Icardi in last night’s 1-0 defeat away to Torino.

“With Mauro I got along well. We pressed together and we chased the second ball. I felt good in this system of play and we have to keep working. We tried to equalise but we did not succeed and we were defeated in the end,” the striker said in an interview with Spanish news station Onda Cero.

The 21-year-old Argentine then went on to speak about whether the transfer speculation has been a distraction for players as of late.

“We must immediately regain concentration without spending too much time thinking about the transfer rumours. Inter is a great club and must go for three points each time they go on to the field. We must reverse the situation.”

Last night’s appearance was Lautaro’s 18th in an Inter shirt since his Summer transfer window arrival from Racing Club.
