According to a report from FCInterNews.it, Arsenal lodged their first bid for Inter winger Ivan Perisic little over two weeks ago.

The Premier League club are keen to add the Croatian to their ranks ahead of Thursday night’s transfer deadline but have found it difficult to strike a deal with Inter over the 29-year-old who recently submitted a transfer request, as confirmed by chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta.

With time not on their side and always decreasing, it is becoming more and more unlikely that the Emirates Stadium side will be able to provide an offer that satisfies Inter.

As per various reports Inter are only wanting to deal Perisic on a permanent basis or on loan with the loaning club having an obligation to turn the move permanent.

Other reports have suggested a loan exchange involving Perisic and Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil but the German’s huge salary is a stumbling block.
