Asamoah Will Be Back In Starting Line-Up Against Lazio

Kwadwo Asamoah will make a return to the starting line-up for Inter’s match with Lazio on Thursday according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The Ghanaian full back was an unused substitute in Inter’s 1-0 loss to Torino at the weekend as Dalbert was given another chance to impress but Asamoah be called upon for the Coppa Italia quarter final match-up at San Siro, where Inter will be out to redeem themselves after the poor performance in Turin.

The Coppa Italia is a competition that Inter could go all the way in and secure the first trophy of the Chinese-owned era and first trophy since the 2010/11 season.

Asamoah knows what it takes to go all the way in the Coppa Italia having won the past four editions of the tournament while with Juventus.

The report from the Rome based newspaper has also brought an update on the injured Keita Balde. The Senegalese winger will not get the opportunity to suit up against his former employers on Thursday but could be back in the squad for the game with Bologna on Sunday.
