Inter legend Riccardo Ferri spoke on the latest media speculation concerning the future of Ivan Perisic with the club.

“For me, all of this does not help the balance of the dressing room. It is bad when a player wants to leave the club,” Ferri said in an interview with Radio 24 show Tutto Convocati.

“Perisic has always been protected by the club therefore something that we do not know must have happened, something personal. I find it strange that he wants to go to Arsenal. He wanted to go when Luciano Spalletti arrived but Spalletti was able to  pick him back up as he did with Marcelo Brozovic.”

Ferri then spoke on Inter’s objectives for the remainder of the season.

“OK Inter’s chances of winning the Scudetto are now gone but there are still other important goals there for them such as securing a place in the Champions League and doing well in the Europa League and Coppa Italia.”

He concluded the interview by addressing the reports that Inter have made an approach for Antonio Conte to succeed Spalletti on the Inter bench.

“The rumours about Conte can annoy certain individuals but I do not think Spalletti is conditioned.
