Flamengo have reignited their interest in signing Inter centre back Miranda according to a report from Fox Sports.
The Rubro-Negro club had courted the veteran defender while they were dealing with Inter for Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa but shelved their interest.
They have identified the 34-year-old as the ideal profile to complete the defensive department at the club that was recently bolstered by the addition of Rodrigo Caio from fellow Brazilian side Sao Paulo.
Miranda – who has been with Inter since the Summer of 2016 – is also rumoured to have attracted interest from Ligue 1 outfit Monaco in recent days.
The Brazilian has seen a reduced level of playing time this season due to the defensive partnership of Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij. He has made just 11 appearances this term for the Nerazzurri across all competitions with his start in Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Torino his first appearance since the start of December.
