According to a report from FCInterNews.it, Samuele Longo is on the verge of joining Serie B side Cremonese on a loan deal until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old striker, who is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2019/20 season, is currently on loan at La Liga side Huesca and is supposed to be there until the end of the season.

However, the call to return to Italy has quite simply been too hard to turn down for Longo, who has spent the past three years on loan at various Spanish clubs.

In the coming days the Inter academy graduate will sign his contract with the Grigiorossi – who will have an option to turn the move permanent in the Summer. If they decide to take up this option, the report adds that the Nerazzurri will have a buy-back option.

Since graduating from Inter’s academy back in 2011, Longo has made just two appearances for the first team.
