Inter coach Luciano Spalletti stopped by Inter TV to share his thoughts going into tomorrow’s quarterfinal clash in the Coppa Italia against Lazio at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, with kick-off scheduled for 21.00 CET.

“I know my players pretty well, during a season you go through periods where you manage to play better football than the others and then periods where you play worse, but the approach to the game is always the same.”

“This is a particularly important match, it is a difficult match but we are aware of the difficulties as well as the solutions we need to apply to overcome those obstacles. This could be the right match to definitely turn the page. Winning gives you a lot because it means that we stay in the competition and that we will play a semifinal. Everything we need to be stimulated is right there.”

Spalletti was then asked if new loan signing from Southampton, Cedric Soares will play to which he all but confirmed it.

“Cedric has not been training with us for a long time but he had shown that he is ready from a physical point of view as well as his familiarity of the role on the pitch. We will have to make evaluations but he is at our disposal.”

The match will be the first one that Inter play in front of a crowd again and this will be important the Nerazzurri coach underlined.

“It will be fundamental. Our fans want the best for us and know very well how to give us the support we need that can make the difference when the result hangs in the balance.”
