Inter Yet To Decide If They Will Lodge Appeal Against Politano’s 2 Match Suspension

An “insulting gesture” towards referee Fabio Maresca is what awarded Matteo Politano his red card during Inter’s 1-0 defeat away to Torino.

As a consequence the Italian winger has been suspended for the Nerazzurri’s next two league games against Bologna and Parma.

News has arrived that in addition to fining the player, Inter has decided not appeal the referee’s decision. “This certainly seems unusual for Inter but this is the new law and order that has been imposed by Beppe Marotta since his arrival”, according to Turin based Tuttosport.

In contrast, Gazzetta dello Sport report that the club have not decided whether or not to appeal the decision and that clarification should arrive within the next few hours.

If Gazzetta are to be believed Inter fans will biting their nails in anticipation since Politano has proved himself to be Inter’s best winger over the whole season and given Keita’s injury and Perisic’s demands to leave, it leaves the Nerazzurri with very few low risk options.
