An “insulting gesture” towards referee Fabio Maresca is what awarded Matteo Politano his red card during Inter’s 1-0 defeat away to Torino.
As a consequence the Italian winger has been suspended for the Nerazzurri’s next two league games against Bologna and Parma.
News has arrived that in addition to fining the player, Inter has decided not appeal the referee’s decision. “This certainly seems unusual for Inter but this is the new law and order that has been imposed by Beppe Marotta since his arrival”, according to Turin based Tuttosport.
