Respected journalist Claudio Laudisa has written on players who have attempted to force a move away from their current club during this transfer window.

He then reflected on the earlier closing of the transfer window back in the Summer and called for universal dates when it comes to the opening and closing of the transfer windows.
“The decision to close the Summer transfer window before the start of Serie A had given positive results. I hope that in time UEFA will fulfil its commitment to harmonise the transfer market dates throughout Europe. The Premier League was a trailblazer by ending the transfer window early. Work now must be done so it closes on the same date for everyone in all the windows. I hope it is not a difficult task and I hope it makes football more beautiful.”
