Antonio Candreva Expected To Start For Inter Against Lazio

Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Luciano Spalletti will revert back to a 4-3-3 formation in the Coppa Italia quarterfinal tonight against Lazio, after the failed attempt to switch to a 3-5-2 in Turin in Serie A.

Surprisingly, the 4-3-3 is now the most used formation this season, as opposed to the last few years in which a 4-2-3-1 was almost always the set up, although some would argue that this is because the squad is best suited for it and that the 4-3-3 is more of a risk.

The newspaper also report that Asamoah, Gagliardini, Borja Valero, Politano and Candreva will all return to the starting line up.

Politano was also suspended during Inter’s game against Torino but that suspension only applies to league fixtures. Luckily for Spalletti, Keita Balde is aiming to return for Bologna and the situation with Perisic seems to have simmered down.

Gagliardini will be hoping to prove himself while Matias Vecino is enduring poor form.

Inter (4-3-3): Handanovic, D’Ambrosio, Skriniar, Miranda, Asamoah, Gagliardini, Brozovic, Borja Valero, Politano, Icardi, Candreva
