In an interview with Rai Sport, Antonio Candreva’s agent, Federico Pastorello gave his views on the current situation of the Nerazzurri’s number 87.
“Let’s say that, from what we know, there was a transfer market summit meeting and in the end the management – in agreement with the coach – decided that Candreva should stay to give his contribution. He has not been used much until now, but in the future he could have more playing time.”
“He is a great professional, his goal was to stay to give his all for the team, Antonio has always accepted the decisions, but it is normal that all players would like to play as much as possible, just as it is normal that the people who run the club should look around at other options in such situations.”
On the rumours of Antonio Conte in Corso Vittorio Emanuele in Milan: “I do not know if it’s true that he was there: maybe yes, since everyone talks about it. However, I strongly doubt that Inter can go and contact a coach at this stage, I believe Spalletti’s project must be allowed to continue.”
“It is normal that there are difficulties, but the judgments must be made at the end of the season, first everyone was enthusiastic, now there is a negative moment and there is so much criticism. At the end of the season, decisions will be made.”
