According to Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera, there is no rift between Beppe Marotta and Luciano Spalletti, a rumour that came out of the discussions on the future of Ivan Perisic.

The Nerazzurri coach will now have to concentrate on getting hold of the dressing room, starting with the recovery of the Croatian and Radja Nainggolan in particular:

Perisic, who was whistled and jeered by the San Siro faithful the other night, could return to the pitch tomorrow against Sinisa Mihajlovic’s Bologna, but his situation is complicated and its difficult to see him remain at the end of the season.

Nainggolan is a special case, the Belgian has only shown glimpses of what he could do and was an expensive outlay at €39 Million, he has somewhat betrayed those who wanted him, in particular Spalletti, and he must either redeem himself or leave.

Mauro Icardi is another case that needs to be redeemed against Bologna. The captain has not scored in the league for five rounds, he has only scored a penalty and he has scored half of the amount of goals of last season, 9 against 18. It is hard to fully understand whether it’s his fault or his teammates that are incapable of providing him with decent service.
