Luciano Spalletti is considering changing Inter’s system as the Nerazzurri prepare to face lowly Bologna on Sunday evening, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Inter’s options out wide are decimated for tomorrow with Keita Balde and Matteo Politano both unavailable and Ivan Perisic still on the margins, after the Croatian tried to force through a January move to Arsenal.

Spalletti is therefore contemplating switching to a diamond formation this weekend, which would see Radja Nainggolan line up behind Mauro Icardi and Lautaro Martinez.

Cedric is expected to make his full debut at right-back after replacing the injured Sime Vrsaljko in Inter’s Serie A squad list this week, while Miranda will continue to deputise for Stefan De Vrij at centre-back.

De Vrij and Borja Valero both remain hopeful of shaking off injury concerns in time to start but it is more likely they will be named on the bench.

Inter’s possible starting XI against Bologna is as follows:

INTER (4-3-1-2): Handanovic; Cedric, Miranda, Skriniar, Asamoah; Vecino, Brozovic, Joao Mario; Nainggolan; Icardi, Martinez.
