Inter CEO Beppe Marotta spoke to RMC Sport when leaving a charity event in central Milano which was held to help those affected by the bridge collapse in Genoa.
Marotta was asked about the difficult moment the squad is experiencing in having lost three matches in a row between the Serie A and the Coppa Italia.
“We are talking about a momentary crisis for the team, but this can’t affect all the positive things we have done until today. We are deservedly third, statistically we have 4 points less than at the same point last year but there are still many matches left to play, and above all there is the desire of everyone to overcome this negative period which can happen, it certainly isn’t the final verdict.”
“The analysis has to be made on the process of growth of the squad, something which is still to be happen, especially from the perspective of continuity and winning mentality, which is a difficulty that we have in this group.”
In conclusion he was asked if the balance of the dressing room has been disturbed by events outside of the squad to which he replied: “I don’t see any external interference, the players are professionals and now how to live with this dynamic. We are used to it, therefore it cant condition the sporting aspect.”
