Ivan Rakitic’s agent has denied the possibility of his client leaving Barcelona in the near future according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter have shown an interest in signing the Croatian midfielder whose Barcelona future is seemingly up in the air after the Blaugrana’s €75 million signing of Frenkie de Jong from Ajax.

30-year-old Rakitic has been with Barcelona since the Summer of 2014 and has made nearly 250 appearances for the Spanish giants in the time since scoring 33 goals and tallying just as many assists. 32 of those appearances have come during this season where he has contributed four goals and tallied six assists across all competitions.

Rakitic, who has over 100 caps for Croatia, is under contract with Barcelona through to the end of the 2020/21 season and is one of a number of high profile midfielders that Inter are believed to be courting. Reports in recent months have linked Inter with moves for Real Madrid duo Luka Modric and Toni Kroos among others.
