Despite there still being little under half of the current season remaining, Napoli president and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis is already looking ahead to next season.

There are 16 games left to play in the current Serie A season and Juventus currently lead the way and have a nine point gap on De Laurentiis’ Napoli, who find themselves in second place, some 11 points ahead of third placed Inter, 15 ahead of fourth placed Milan and 16 ahead of fifth placed Roma.

“I think that next season, Serie A will be a lot more lively with Inter and Milan getting better and Juventus perhaps being more quiet. The Serie A could become more homogeneous and we will see what happens in the next two to three months. Many interesting things could happen,” De Laurentiis said on the sidelines of the presentation of Napoli’s Summer training retreat which will be at Dimaro-Folgarida.
