Juventus are to fork out €30 million to complete the signing of Cristian Romero from Genoa according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

Originally it was expected that the Bianconeri would have had to pay at least €35 million but the price is expected to come down with the Milan based newspaper suggesting that the excellent relations between the two clubs will play a part in this happening.

The young centre back – who can also play at right back if required – was courted by Inter although the Nerazzurri opted against making a move for the Argentine youth internatinoalist in the end.

Romero only joined Genoa last Summer from Argentine club Belgrano for only a few million but has surprised many with his performances for the Stadio Luigi Ferraris club. The 20-year-old has made 14 appearances in Serie A to date, scoring one goal, tallying one assist and recording one clean sheet in the process.
