Sampdoria President Massimo Ferrero was interviewed by RMC Sport after the charity event in central Milano held to raise funds for those affected by the tragic bridge collapse in Genoa.
The Blucerchiati President was asked about if he regretted selling Slovakian international central defender in the summer of 2017, which he admitted to but that he was not surprised as to how well the player had been playing since making the move to the Nerazzurri.
“I expected that he would do well with the Nerazzurri, when he left it felt like a piece of my heart left too. We were aware of his great talent, however he was presented with a great possibility, Inter had seen his quality for a long time.”
Milan Skriniar joined Inter in the summer of 2017 in a deal which saw Italian attacker Gianluca Caprari go the opposite way and join Sampdoria as well as the Nerazzurri paying a reported fee of €15 million.
