According to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s Slovakian defender, Milan Skriniar, is closer than ever to a renewal with the Nerazzurri:

The Nerazzurri management has raised the proposed salary from the €2.5 Million plus bonuses that was offered back in September to €3 Million plus bonuses, and the player’s entourage have appreciated this increase.

Skriniar renewing his contract with Inter until 2023 is now getting closer and closer and it is an important move, which could serve to repel the interest of several top European clubs, especially from the Premier League, who have long since set their sights on the Slovakian centre back.

The 23-year-old has been an ever present figure in the Inter defence over the last season and a half since joining from Sampdoria. He has made 28 appearances this season across the league, Champions League and Coppa Italia and has been equally effective alongside Stefan De Vrij, Miranda or Andrea Ranocchia.
