There is ‘substantial optimism’ surrounding the condition of Keita Balde ahead of Inter’s match away to Parma this weekend according to a report from Sky Sport.

The Senegalese winger has been sidelined with a muscle injury for a number of weeks but participated in full training with the rest of his Inter teammates at the Nerazzurri’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre training base as per the broadcaster.

Other players currently recovering from injuries are meanwhile being monitored, particularly Borja Valero, the report goes on.

The Spaniard picked up an injury in the warm-ups prior to Inter’s Coppa Italia quarter final clash with Lazio the other week and he missed Sunday’s 1-0 loss at home to Bologna.

He is unlikely to be risked on Saturday against Parma due to the fact Inter manager Luciano Spalletti already has limited midfield options for the Europa League match with Rapid Vienna and is eager to not add to the list of absentees.
