Corriere dello Sport have examined the difference in revenue between competing in the Champions League and the Europa League for Inter.

As per the report, the difference between competing in the competitions could be worth as much as €60 million to the Nerazzurri.

Inter crashed out of the Champions League in the group stage and will next week begin their campaign in the Europa League against Austrian side Rapid Vienna in the round of 16. The first leg is due to be played in Austria on valentines day with the return leg at San Siro taking place the following week.

The Rome based newspaper also report on Inter’s potential revenues come the end of the season. By the end of the season, Inter could have raised as much as €370 million but there are many variables to be considered such as progression in the Europa League and gate receipts while sponsorship deals also need take in to consideration.
