Inter defender Milan Skriniar is one of three centre back’s that Manchester United have shortlisted ahead of the Summer transfer window according to a report from Manchester Evening News.

United made an enquiry about the 23-year-old’s availability back in the Summer and were quoted £76 million – approximately €86 million – for him by the Nerazzurri.

Despite Skriniar, who is under contract with Inter until the Summer of 2022, recently publicly committing himself to Inter amidst the interest, Manchester Evening News’ sources understand that he is open to a move to the Premier League.

The Slovakian aside, the resurgent Red Devils are also thinking about Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly and Sampdoria’s Joachim Andersen, the latter of which has also drawn strong interest from Inter recently.

Manchester Evening News say United officials have ‘begun due diligence’ ahead of the Summer having failed to make any additions whatsoever to the squad over the course of the January transfer window.
