Cristiano Lucarelli has commented on Inter’s recent difficult period that they have been experiencing on the pitch since the turn of the year.

“Inter must find the same form from at the beginning of the season and avoid the rumours that could destabilise them,” he insisted in an interview with RMC Sport.

Lucarelli, who is perhaps best known for his time at Livorno, then spoke on the Antonio Conte rumours that recently went in to overdrive after the former Italian national team manager was spotted in central Milan near to Inter’s headquarters.

“What do I make of Conte being spotted in Milan? It certainly did not help the Nerazzurri team on the eve of an important match like the one against Bologna. Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has morals and is an exemplary professional. If he really wanted to meet with Conte he would not have done it at the Inter headquarters and not even in Milan.”
