Inter and Fiorentina will face off against each other at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday 24 February in a Serie A fixture that has always delivered a number of goals and surprises over the years.

In an official statement from Fiorentina they made it aware that two of their players had undergone medical examinations today and that they may be at risk for their game against the Nerazzurri.

The two players in question are Argentine defender German Pezzella and their Belgian forward Kevin Mirallas. The examinations showed that Pezzella has a second degree injury to the medial collateral ligament of his right knee. Mirallas however has suffered a first degree injury to the medial twin of his right leg.

Both players have already started their rehabilitative therapy and their condition will continue to be monitored over the next few days to assess their recovery. As things stand the two players chances of being available for the visit of Inter next weekend is in serious doubt.
