Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta has insisted that there will not be a problem between the club and club captain Mauro Icardi over a renewal but firstly spoke on Inter’s 1-0 win over Parma.

“The victory over Parma was important and convincing. The team and Coach did well. We rediscovered our conviction and I saw Nainggolan and Perisic in great condition,” he said in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

He then progressed to talk on Icardi’s renewal situation and spoke on Luciano Spalletti’s recent comments on the matter.

“I have talked to Spalletti over the phone and we will talk again today or tomorrow morning. We will manage the situation in the best way and in everyone’s interest.

“Icardi’s renewal is not a problem whatsoever. We have already said what we had to say, beyond what we will clarify with Spalletti. We will manage the situation, but I can confirm that there will not be a problem.”
