Former Inter and Austria midfielder Herbert Prohaska has spoken ahead of Inter’s clash with Austrian side Rapid Vienna in the Europa League.

“Inter lost against Bologna the other week and Rapid are a similar team to Bologna. Of course, when Inter show off all their qualities they are favourites but at this moment they are not doing well. When I read in newspapers that Mauro Icardi isn’t even looking at the manager it is a good sign for Rapid,” he said in an interview with Austrian newspaper Kurier.

“While the Nerazzurri are still in the Europa League, finishing in the top four to secure Champions League football is more important to them. Therefore, they will probably not play a full strength side against Rapid which means Rapid have a chance.”

He concluded the interview by speaking on Inter’s future at San Siro amid reports that Inter and Milan are looking to build a new ground.

“San Siro, like the Bernabeu and the Camp Nou, is a temples of football, and they have to stay there. There’s talk of a new stadium, but I do not know if they really care enough to do it.”
