Rapid Vienna captain Stefan Schwab is convinced that Inter are underestimating the Austrian giants capabilities ahead of their Europa League match-up.

“I am pretty sure they are underestimating us. This Europa League game comes at a crucial moment and could be the biggest game of our season,” the midfielder stated in an interview with Austrian newspaper Heute.

He proceeded to speak on the importance that the Rapid Vienna fans could play in Thursday night’s affair at the 28,000 capacity Allianz Stadion.

“With our fans behind us, surely this is something that will give us an advantage.”

The game with Inter will be Rapid’s first competitive game in just over two months due to the Austrian league taking a winter break. While they have not performed all that well domestically this season with them sitting in 8th place, they have performed well in Europe, progressing from a group they weren’t expected to.
