Borja Valero is likely to come in in place of Marcelo Brozovic for Inter’s Europa League affair with Rapid Vienna according to a report from Sky Sport.

The Spaniard has recovered from his recent injury and will in all likelihood replace the suspended Croatian in the starting 11 for the Europa League round of 32 first leg match-up.

The 34-year-old has been out of action since picking up an injury during the warm-ups prior to Inter’s Coppa Italia quarter final with Lazio.

His return will come as a boost to manager Luciano Spalletti who – on top of Brozovic – is having to do without Joao Mario and Roberto Gagliardini due to them not being on the UEFA squad list.

The report continues that Lautaro Martinez and Mauro Icardi are fighting it out to lead the line at the Allianz Stadion. As things stand, Lautaro would appear to be slightly ahead of his compatriot to get the nod to start.
