Mauro Icardi joined his teammates that also did not travel to Vienna for Inter’s Europa League round of 32 first leg match-up with Rapid Vienna for training this morning according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
Icardi entered the Nerazzurri’s Angelo Moratti Sports Centre training ground shortly after 9:30 this morning and was joined by the likes of Milan Skriniar, Marcelo Brozovic (both suspended), Roberto Gagliardini, Joao Mario and Dalbert (omitted from UEFA squad list.)
Icardi was yesterday stripped of his captaincy and replaced by Samir Handanovic.
In his press conference yesterday, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti admitted that he called Icardi up but the Argentine rejected the call-up.
The report goes on to state that the 25-year-old striker has not been fined for refusing the call.
Icardi has made 28 appearances across all competitions for the club this season wherein he has managed to net 15 goals in 2374 minutes on the park.
